All are welcome to participate in the services at St. John's

The ministry of acolyting is open to all . Acolytes are responsible for lighting the candles prior to the service, carrying the torches in both the processional and the recessional, assisting in the set up of the altar for communion as well as assisting those members of the congregation that might need assistance leaving the communion rail and finally putting out the candles at the end of the service. Senior acolytes, carry the cross in the processional and recessional as well as receive the communion elements and plate offering from the ushers and assist the rector as needed in preparing the bread and wine for communion. Training is available and we welcome all young people to join this very special youth ministry. Please see Jim O’Neil.
